How to Make an Armpit Detox Mask

How detoxing helps your body.

When we get overloaded with toxins, our body will become out of balance. When this happens, our body will try to correct itself and we experience different symptoms.

While it is totally okay to continue using deodorants, it is also good to give your skin a break from time to time. It is especially important to make sure you are using a natural deodorant like Pack & Leaf Natural Deodorant, because antiperspirants can clog your pores and prevent natural detoxification.

If you have been using an antiperspirant, an armpit detox is exactly what you need. It helps remove harmful buildup after years of using chemical deodorants or antiperspirants. It also helps reduce the sweat and the smell they produce.

Signs that you need to start detoxing

Do you often feel exhausted? Is your skin dry or too oily or you’re experiencing breakouts?

These are just some of the signs that your body is telling you to do a detox.

Listen to your body. Listen to the signals that your body is giving you.

If you feel that something is not right, analyze and listen to your body before it gets too late.

How often should you detox?

There is no specific time on how to do armpit detox.

However, it is recommended to do this every week or until you stop getting those nasty smells in your armpit. This is especially important when you’re transitioning from chemical anti-perspirant to an all-natural deodorant.

Detox your armpits regularly until the stinky smells completely go away.

How long an armpit detox lasts depends on your activity.

Every body is different, that’s why there is no specific time or day that you should do the detox.

If you feel like it is time or your body is giving you signals to do the detox, do it.

Listen to your body.

What are the ingredients you need?

There are only 3 ingredients you need. Apple cider vinegar, water and Bentonite Clay.

Apple Cider Vinegar is known to have anti-inflammatory properties and it consists of acetic acid and alpha hydroxy acid. This means apple cider vinegar can exfoliate the skin, absorb excess oils and unclog blocked pores.*

Bentonite Clay for armpit detox is an effective healing ingredient on your skin and is sometimes used in creams to treat diaper rash. It is also know to absorb “negatively charged toxins”*

How can I detox my armpits?

Detox your armpits using apple cider vinegar and bentonite clay. Mix a suggested amount of 1 tablespoon of each of the bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar. Then add in some water to dilute the vinegar. The thickness of the mixture should be as that of yogurt.  When ready, spread the mixture evenly under each armpit. Leave them on for about 20 minutes then wash with warm water.

Reddening of the skin after use of armpit detox is not something to worry about as it is natural and harmless. However, if there are any other reactions to the clay, wash off immediately.

Detoxifying armpits can take about 2 to 4 weeks so it is recommended to apply regularly for that long or until there’s no odor on the armpits.

The most important thing to remember when doing a detox is listening to your body. Be attentive of the signs it is giving you.
